Been waiting for that Samsung Galaxy S4? You’re dreams and wishes have just come true, as Samsung sent out invitations to a “Samsung Unpacked” event in New York next month on March 14th. Technology website CNET has confirmed with a high-level executive that the Galaxy S4 will indeed be featured. This day also follows the rumours that have been surfacing within the past month.
There was no doubt in my mind that Samsung would release a next version of this smartphone, after the major success of the S3 model. It had great market share compared with Apple’s iPhone, and it’s Galaxy lineup of smartphones keeps on expanding.
So what can we expect from this new phone? We’ve heard of the new 8-core Exynos processor, and yes you did not read incorrectly. There is also the possibility of a 4.99-inch SuperAmoled display, 2GB of RAM, and a 13-megapixel rear view camera with 1080p video capability & 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Samsung could also embedding the security software Knox into the phone as well. The design could be similar to the S2, but be more redefined after a case was leaked over the weekend.
We’ll have coverage on the S4 on JTS when announced so stay tuned.
